SACRED PLACES OF READING, PENNSYLVANIA

In 2019, Berks County Community Foundation began a long-term project to catalogue the buildings in our community that were purpose-built for religious worship. The project was paused in 2020 and 2021, but resumed in the summer of 2022. This website highlights the unique features of the surveyed sites. The map below shows the location and a brief summary of each house of worship, with more information about surveyed locations available through the menus at the top of this page.
