History:

Iglesia Bautista Betania was founded in 1990 by Pastor Tony Perez. Pastor Perez was able to acquire the church property in 1996. The church is located in the northwest section of the city and was built in 1907; just a couple of blocks away from the Centre Park Historic District. The church is in a Romanesque-revival style that is in good condition.

Congregation/Space:

The congregation hosts at least 200 or more people who attend worship; with about 200 people coming in per week for any purpose. Pastor Perez identifies his congregation as a non-denominational (independent) church. The church has an open lawn/garden located toward the front of the church facing N. 2nd Street. Iglesia Bautista Betania also provides space for a smaller congregation called Door of Hope, which is under the Betania congregation.
