History:

Iglesia Hispana Pentecostal was founded in 1961, and Pastor Jorge Correa acquired it in 1988. According to Pastor Correa, before obtaining the church, it may have been a Mennonite or a different denomination of Christianity. Pastor Correa has done an excellent job of maintaining the historical look of the church. The stained glass windows are still intact with the sanctuary remodeled into a modern look. The church is located in the Callowhill Historic District in Reading.

Congregation/Space:

The church has an average attendance of about 70 people attending worship on Sunday’s, and about 125 people coming in for all purposes weekly (including services). The congregation’s denomination is Asambleas de Díos (Assembly of God). Services are held in the sanctuary on the second floor of the church with a balcony on the top. On the first floor, there are office rooms as well as classrooms that were used for Sunday school. There is also a small parking lot located in the back of the church.
